This Scholarship was created in memory of Gail Gese, by friends and coworkers wanting to continue her legacy. Gail's tragic death left a lasting impact on the community of Kent. Her dedication to education and inspiring students to reach their fullest potential would continue to be recognized with the support this scholarship would provide for students intending to pursue a career path in behavioral health.
This Scholarship will be awarded to one or more applicants whose educational goals will lead them to a career path with community-based organizations that work across the spectrum of behavior health. Eligible fields of study include but are not limited to: behavioral technician, psychiatric technician, drug counselor, mental health counselor, psychologist, family therapy, social worker, human services, or school psychology. Applicants receiving the Scholarship may use the funds at any accredited post secondary institution.
Applicants must be graduating seniors from any high school in the Kent School District, who have maintained a grade point average greater than 3.0 during grades 9 through 12.
