The Gail Gese Scholarship The Gail Gese Scholarship was established by friends and coworkers in memory of Gail Gese, whose tragic passing left a lasting impact on the Kent community. Gail was deeply committed to education and passionate about inspiring students to reach their fullest potential. This scholarship honors her legacy by supporting students who plan to pursue careers in behavioral health. The scholarship will be awarded to one or more graduating seniors whose educational goals align with careers in community-based behavioral health organizations. Eligible fields of study include, but are not limited to: behavioral technician, psychiatric technician, drug counselor, mental health counselor, psychologist, family therapist, social worker, human services professional, or school psychologist. Recipients may use the award at any accredited post-secondary institution.
The Kent Community Foundation has set a goal of $25,000 to establish the Gail Gese Scholarship as an endowed fund, ensuring that Gail’s legacy continues to support students in perpetuity. The current fund balance is $3,000. On December 2nd, during the Big Give, we will be featuring the Gail Gese Scholarship as our highlighted fundraiser.
