Jim McGinnis Scholarship for KM Grads
(Previously known as the Friends of KM Scholarship)
This scholarship is in honor of the dedication, mentorship and leadership of long-time board member Jim McGinnis. Jim spent over 20 years supporting the Kent Community Foundation as president, secretary, vice president, scholarship chair and most recently as a mentor to our board.
This scholarship started as the Friends of Kent Meridian High School Scholarship and was created in 2010 by a group of Kent-Meridian High School Alumni and supporters, including Jim McGinnis, to allow students from Kent-Meridian HS the opportunity to attend college, who might not otherwise be able to financially afford it.
— One or more scholarships will be awarded each year.
— Applicants will be graduates of Kent-Meridian High School.
— Applications plan to attend a two- or four-year college or university
